Master the Vedic Duplex (Dwandwa Yoga) for 1- to 3-digit duplexes, then drive full n² mental computation from 2-digit through 4-digit numbers.

Layout n² as Duplex columns left-to-right: D(a) | D(ab) | D(b) for 2-digit n. Compute each Duplex by digit count: D(a)=a², D(ab)=2ab, D(abc)=2ac+b². Then carry place values.
